The Touch Game by Anthony Innovations is a multiple award winning game for families. It is one of those rare games that family members of all ages can play together and enjoy. How to Play
The game play is deceptively simple. Game pieces come in a variety of shapes representing items pictured on the themed cards. These include animals, sporting equipment, famous buildings, foods, clothing and vehicles. These pieces are placed in a domed game centre. The centre includes a viewing window, a self-adjusting slot for a hand to be inserted and a timer.
Players select a playing card and then insert their hand into the game centre. The player must try to locate the pieces pictured on the card by touch alone. Other players are able to observe through the viewing window, which can be highly amusing as the correct piece unknowingly sits almost within the players grasp.
Players take turns and are awarded points for each piece that they correctly locate and bonus points for finding all the pieces on one card. With each turn players choose a new card, but they can continue to search for missed items from a previous card.
Game cards also contain ‘fun fact’ information about the game pieces on the reverse side.
Variations and Extension Packs
A quick game version is also possible with players starting the timer and then trying to guess as many pieces as possible correctly within the time limit.
Farm animal, African wild life, dinosaurs and sea creature extension packs are available for purchase separately. The similarity of shape and size with the pieces in these packs, particularly the dinosaurs, adds an extra challenge to the game.
Suitable for all Ages and Abilities
Standard game play takes 45 minutes to an hour. The Touch Game is suitable unsupervised play for ages 5 and over. Younger children will also enjoy playing, but should be monitored due to the small playing pieces.
