Mother’s Day is a long-standing tradition that began long ago and is celebrated in many countries across the globe.
“Mothering Day” was once celebrated by Christians in England to pay homage to Mary, the mother of Jesus. The celebration later expanded to include all mothers across England. President Woodrow Wilson officially declared the very first Mother’s Day in 1914, a day set aside for expression of love, gratitude and reverence for mothers across America.
